What to wear for the Pre-School :
You can help your child to become independent and confident by:
Ensuring you dress them in clothes with fastenings they can manage
Choose practical clothes that will not be ruined by paint or glue
Leave all jewellery or earrings at home for safety reasons
Clearly labelling all items of clothing with your child's name (including shoes and socks).
Providing sensible footwear. Shoes must fasten securely when your child is running or climbing
A change of clothes in case of accidents
In cold weather, coats, hats, gloves and scarves for playing outside
In sunny weather, a sun hat and sun cream.
Your child will also need:
A Pre-School sweatshirt or cardigan (available from the office)
A book bag (available from the office) any words / reading books / library books should be taken to and from school in this.
We ask that all toys remain at home to avoid the disappointment of belongings being lost or damaged.
2. Food and Drinks
For children attending only the funded educational sessions per day we will provide a drink of milk or water for breaks.
For all children attending a complete morning session (8am - 1pm) in Toybox Great Denham we will provide breakfast, a mid-morning snack & drink of milk or water and a two course freshly prepared cooked dinner.
Children who attend the afternoon session (1pm - 6pm) will receive an afternoon snack & drink and a 2 course light tea.
Due to our strict Healthy Eating Policy - No sweets or alternative snacks (to those above) are to be brought in from home. Drinking water is readily available to the children throughout the day. When it is your child’s birthday, the nursery will provide a birthday cake, cooked on site, for your child to share with their friends during a meal time.
