Starting School

This transition from home (or a day nursery setting) to a formal 'Preschool setting' can potentially be an apprehensive time for children and parents alike. We do appreciate and understand this. Your child's happiness and progress is very important. Parents are assured that a phone call to check on their child's progress and well-being is welcome during the school day.

Reporting to Parents

  • We operate an open door policy

  • We value good communication between home and school

  • We invite you to join us for special occasions such as trips or special assemblies

  • We issue termly newsletters

  • We hold parent/teacher consultations on a six monthly rotation. Your child will have a full report written for them by their key worker as well as a chance to talk about progress your child is making at home.

Your Child's Safety

  • Please ensure you inform us if someone unfamiliar to us is coming to collect your child. (We will only allow them to do so if they know the password for your child.)

  • Please do not let any other children out through the door when you leave.

  • Please shut the main door when you bring your child in or when collecting them.

  • Please be punctual when dropping off / collecting your child to avoid upset or disruption to your child's routine.

  • In emergencies please telephone the School/ Nursery to ensure we are aware
