What To Do Next
Hopefully our website will give you a flavour of Toybox, our ethos and our commitment to outstanding childcare. But that alone isn’t enough – we recognise that choosing childcare is one of the hardest decisions you will have to make. We want you to be absolutely sure that we are the right people to deliver the childcare you seek for your individual child.
To help you make this very special decision we would like to suggest a number of important steps:
Come and take a visit / tour of the Nursery. It is important that you take the time to see the nursery in action. By investing an hour or so of your time you will be able to receive an explanation of room actives and our approach to how we meet the challenges of the Early Years Foundation Stage as laid down by the Department for Education (www.education.gov.uk).
Visit at least one other nursery or Pre-School we welcome comparison to others as we can learn from things that others do that parents like, but more importantly it gives you a wider choice of what is right for you and your family.
Book your visit in advance to ensure we have the time to give you an individual consultation with a member of the management team to fully understand both child and parent requirements and to discuss any potential concerns that you may have.
Use our Information Sheet 'what to ask a nursery?’ This will provide you with a checklist and questions to ask childcare providers. We want you to know you have made an informed choice please do look at other nurseries.
During your visit receive an introduction to the staff in general and the Early Years Professional Leaders responsible for your child.
Please not that whilst we will try to accommodate unannounced visits we cannot guarantee we will have staff available to properly conduct a visit for you – we will not compromise the care and safety of other children to conduct a visit and we will cancel visits if staffing to the levels we require need the manager in the rooms.
Also to ensure the very best security we would prefer you to make an appointment to look around. Please telephone or complete the ‘request a visit form’ on-line for the nursery you would like to visit. However we do recognise that parents are advised to carry out unannounced visits and understand why this might be recommended – we run a completely open house policy but would request your understanding if we cannot carry out a visit that wasn’t planned.
After considering your childcare options we hope you decide to choose us for your child's care and education. We know that we provide high quality childcare and education, and hope that after your visit, you will come to the same conclusion as well. Please see other information tabs about how to register at Toybox.
